Chapters 3 & 4

Greetings!
Hopefully everyone is still on board with the study. We did have a problem with the posts - they weren't publishing after we hit the submit button. I hope that the problem is solved. I was away this weekend and didn't take my laptop. I am here now!

Here are the questions again!

1. What has been most meaningful (blessing or challenge) to you in this week's lesson?

2. What do you intend to apply (through prayer and the Holy Spirit)?

3. How can we pray for you this week?

Based on the bible studies I attended the past 2 weeks through our church, I wanted to share some insights that others made that have impacted me. God is supernaturally softening my heart and giving me a desire to submit to my husband in a way I've never done before. The thought of "helping" him goes through my mind throughout each day. God has ripened my spirit to be more aware when I am being a hindrance instead of a helper. I'm so thankful for His Word!

**Remember the "trust falls" that were popular to help people bond together? One person would fall back into the arms of the other people? Sometimes the fall-er would be high up above those people! Anyways, we need to realize that our husbands won't be there all the time to "catch us" like those people catching the person falling. Oftentimes we put our faith in our husband, but that's incorrect. Our faith must be in God and we must realize that He will always be there for us.

**The point is for us to be excellent wives, not point out "but you're not an excellent husband."

**Flee temptation; firmly stand against Satan

**One gal spoke up about the importance of wives understanding authority and the seeing the protection under that authority. When we come out from that authority, the protection is removed and we are totally vulnerable to Satan's attacks. When we understand the authority of our husband, we see a picture of the authority of God.

I want to share a fabulous list of "Putting off.....Putting on" behaviors, with scripture for both, with you girls. There are 78 items! What a blessing this was to receive from my bible study leader. Each time I'm struggling with something, I have a ready resource as to where to go in the Word for encouragement or conviction. This would be a great resource to use in training our children as well. Reminds me of Instructions in Righteousness by Doorposts, if any of you have that. Anyways, what I'll do is make a copy & send it to Julie and then she can pass it out to you all as able.

I have been most led to do a word-study on "authority" from the Bible. I want to understand this more clearly so that I can more willingly submit and teach this to other women as God brings them to me.

Blessings, Wendy
